Improv Student Showcases

Presented By

BATS Improv School

Through Feb 28th

Catch some fresh, raw, rough-edged improv with the wild crew at BATS — and take advantage of a sweet improv bargain! For a mere $10 (at the door only), enjoy a fun, improvised show starring the next generation of improv geniuses from the BATS School of Improv.

The “Student Showcases” feature an ensemble of improv students who have trained together in workshops devoted to specific improv genres. The February 14 and 21 performances focus on “Family Drama,” a sometimes humorous, sometimes poignant, three-act, improvised stage play about the foibles of families.

The second showcase on February 21 offers “The Harold,” an anything-goes improv format that riffs on a single word (like “Harold”) to inspire a playful collage of games, monologues, scenes, and songs. Theatresports take the stage for the February 25 “Open Workshop: Performance Workshop Two” and the February 28  “Student Showcase: Performance Workshop Two.”
