Pachamama AllianceNOVEMBER 2004

Pachamama Alliance

Herbst Pavilion

What does it mean to be a global citizen? During Pachamama Alliance’s Annual Rainforest Luncheon, attendees have a chance to explore one potential meaning on Thursday, November 18 at the Herbst Pavilion. Program planners say that the experience will “touch the core of your being and dramatically alter how you see the world.”

The Pachamama Alliance is a US-based nonprofit that brings together people from the modern world and leaders of remote indigenous groups. Their purpose is to stop the destruction of the world’s tropical rainforests through a variety of projects that include making it economically wise to preserve these natural resources.

The 75-minute luncheon program features a sonic rainforest experience, a short film, and speakers from the Pachamama Alliance.

For more information see the November 18 calendar listing or visit www.pachamama.org.
