What does it mean to be a global citizen? During Pachamama
Alliances Annual Rainforest Luncheon, attendees have
a chance to explore one potential meaning on Thursday, November
18 at the Herbst Pavilion. Program planners say that the experience
will touch the core of your being and dramatically alter
how you see the world.
The Pachamama Alliance is a US-based nonprofit that brings
together people from the modern world and leaders of remote
indigenous groups. Their purpose is to stop the destruction
of the worlds tropical rainforests through a variety
of projects that include making it economically wise to preserve
these natural resources.
The 75-minute luncheon program features a sonic rainforest
experience, a short film, and speakers from the Pachamama
Alliance.
