16 Electras

San Francisco International Arts Festival

Through Jun 3rd

A piece that moves along the Bay Trail at Black Point to FMCAC’s historic chapel, Amy Lewis’s “16 Electras” centers on the 16 versions of the Electra myth (in Greek mythology Electra is the daughter of King Agamemnon and Queen Clytemnestra of Mycenae). As the dancers move down the trail, the myth of Electra is told through dance and song lyrics written by Lewis and set to original music composed by Agnes Szelag. Please note this is a walking event, proper footwear is encouraged.

These performances by Amy Lewis are hosted by Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture (FMCAC) as part of the San Francisco International Arts Festival, which runs from May 25 – June 4 exclusively at FMCAC. The Festival features more than 100 performances by over 60 different artists, ensembles and companies. Get discounts on tickets to see multiple shows at the Festival by buying a Festival pass.
