The San Francisco Art Institute | Fort Mason Campus presents a disturbing and provocative group show, “The Abject Goddess,” in the Swell Gallery at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. Featuring the work of seven artists, “The Abject Goddess” examines the collective experiences of women, transcends male-dominated rhetoric and patriarchal language, and seeks to unveil the future of feminism. The diverse cultural group of participating artists includes individuals from Brazil, Greece, Hawaii, Iceland, and India; the artists are: Hilary Bond, Jessica Fertonani Cooke, Gígja Jónsdóttir, Taylor Lowe, Alexia Marouli, Nasim Moghadam, and Vasudhaa Narayanan.

The opening reception takes place Friday, November 17, 2017, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
