Agua de Mayo

San Francisco International Arts Festival

May 26th @ 9:00 p.m.

AguaClara Flamenco presents “Agua de Mayo,” (water of May) a celebration of the improvisatory spirit of flamenco that blends classic elements of the dance with a “splash” of the unexpected. The production from the Oakland-based company–under the artistic direction of dancer/choreographer/musician Clara Rodriguez–features a collaboration of both international and local flamenco dancers, singers, guitarist and instrumentalists for  this piece that centers on the waters of spring merging with tradition.

These performances by AguaClara Flamenco are hosted by Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture (FMCAC) as part of the San Francisco International Arts Festival, which runs from May 25-June 4 exclusively at FMCAC. The Festival features more than 100 performances by over 60 different artists, ensembles and companies. Get discounts on tickets to see multiple shows at the Festival by buying a Festival pass.
