Alfredo Imparato: One Of The Last Minstrels of Naples

Presented By

Museo Italo Americano

Through Jul 27th

The Museo Italo Americano presents two performances by Alfredo Imparato, a wandering street minstrel or posteggiatori from Naples, Italy, at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. Imparato regularly performs canzone Neopolitane, or Neapolitan songs, in the streets and piazzas of Naples and other Italian communities.

Imparato’s concert begins following a short talk on the history and traditions of Neapolitan songs and il posteggiatori by local musician Kathy Sherak. Each performance features a reception after the concert.

Space for this event is limited. Please register online for the July 23 or July 27 performance, or RSVP in advance to (415) 673-2200 or info@SFMuseo.org.
