Away Towards The Light

San Francisco International Arts Festival

May 28th @ 7:00 p.m.

“Away Towards the Light,” is a lively composition by Moe! Staiano with the Moe! Staiano Ensemble and Moe!kestra!. An exploration of tonal interplay and contrasting rhythms from nine electric guitars, bass, and drums, the piece is composed in three movements, and is Moe! Staiano first composition for multiple electric guitars. Audiences can expect to hear dense, heavy and intense compositions which often include unconventional instrumentation, such as sirens, u-bolts, prepared guitars and wine glasses, in addition to the traditional orchestral and rock instruments.

These performances by Moe! Staiano Ensemble and Moe!kestra! are hosted by Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture (FMCAC) as part of the San Francisco International Arts Festival, which runs from May 25 – June 4 exclusively at FMCAC. The Festival features more than 100 performances by over 60 different artists, ensembles and companies. Get discounts on tickets to see multiple shows at the Festival by buying a Festival pass.
