Just in time for the holidays, BATS Improv introduces The Long Weekend at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. The Long Weekend unfolds in real time and on a single set — the action follows three friends on their holiday journeys as they travel home, welcome families to their homes, or plan a real getaway from everything.

This poignant, hilarious drama is completely improvised — the only thing the actors know is that their characters are somehow related and that they are getting together for the holidays or escaping from holiday frenzy. Everything else about the weekend — from leaving work to returning on Monday — is created right in front of the audience.
