BATS Improv: Summer Theatresports 2018

Presented By

BATS Improv

BATS Improv explodes into action with two months of Friday night Theatresports at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. Theatresports shows are rapid-fire and exhilarating nights of improvised theater played as a sport — complete with Olympics-style judges! Theatresports delivers a spirited, high-stakes tournament with plenty of audience interaction and lively competition.

Expect lots of variety in Theatresports shows, and because everything is improvised, expect the unexpected! Friday night Theatresports is a king-of-the-hill tournament — the winning team returns each week to face a new challenger. Two teams of improvisers from BATS Improv’s main stage company face-off in fast-paced segments featuring games, scenes, and songs based on audience suggestions. Judges award points to each team, and at the end of the evening, the high-scoring team advances on to the following week’s contest.

Friday night Theatresports really heats up as the final competition match draws closer and frenzied improvisers step up the game in an effort to win the last match, become the tournament champions, and represent BATS in the annual grudge match against Los Angeles Impro Theatre in August.
