Between Mars & Jupiter

San Francisco International Arts Festival

Through May 28th

Alma Esperanza Cunningham Movement’s powerful group of female dancers and choreographers present Between Mars & Jupiter, a piece that investigates what it means to be female. Between Mars & Jupiter is a compilation of movement essays expressing art, history, fashion, and personal narrative to reframe and transform the way audiences experience the female body in performances.

Between Mars and Jupiter features powerful female choreographers and artists, including Aura Fischbeck, Maureen Whiting, Maxine Moerman, Ronja Ver, Leigh Riley, Caitlin Daly, Keryn Breiterman-Loader, and Christina Carter under the direction of Alma Esperanza Cunningham. Each artist is spotlighted in a dynamic movement essay made in collaboration with Cunningham.

These performances by Alma Esperanza Cunningham Movement are hosted by Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture (FMCAC) as part of the San Francisco International Arts Festival, which runs from May 25 – June 4 exclusively at FMCAC. The Festival features more than 100 performances by over 60 different artists, ensembles and companies. Get discounts on tickets to see multiple shows at the Festival by buying a Festival pass.
