Learn how to play a new instrument or improve existing musical skills with Blue Bear School of Music at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. Blue Bear’s diverse program includes group classesadult band workshopsafter-school programs, summer camps, and Little Bears toddler music classes.

Sample what Blue Bear has to offer with Short Seminars, held June 26-28, 2018. These two-hour seminars cover topics such as harmonica, mandolin, British singer/songwriters, and more for a mere $25 per seminar.

The 11-week group classes begin the week of July 2, 2018 and run through September 19, 2018. Group sessions feature electric, acoustic, rhythm, bass, and lead guitar with classes for all skill levels, from beginner to advanced students. Other group classes cover vocals, ukulele, mandolin, fiddle, banjo, DJing, songwriting, and more.  Tuition ranges from $275 to $425.

The 10-week Adult Band Workshops are available in basic and intermediate levels for rock and blues, acoustic rock, funk, jazz, modern rock, and more from July 2, 2018 through September 19, 2018. Band workshops cost $425 and culminate with a live performance by band members at a local club.

Young folks in grades two through 12 can participate in summer camps from June 11, 2018 through August 10, 2018. Camps offer practice in cello, guitar, voice, rock, songwriting, DJing, and more with tuition costing $550 per week-long camp.

Little Bears classes for ages four months to five years old begin July 16, 2018 and run through September 1, 2018. The 45-minute classes take place in the mornings or afternoons, Monday through Saturday, and cost $275 for 12 weeks and $160 for seven weeks.
