Learn how to play a new instrument or improve existing musical skills with Blue Bear School of Music at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. Blue Bear’s diverse program includes group classesadult band workshops, summer camps, and Little Bears toddler music classes. Please note that Blue Bear offers classes at a variety of locations, however, only the ones held at Fort Mason Center For Arts & Culture are covered here.

Sample what Blue Bear has to offer with Short Seminars, held June 25-27, 2019. These two-hour seminars cover topics such as guitar, songwriting, and more for a mere $30 per seminar.

The 11-week group classes begin the week of July 1, 2019 and run through September 19, 2019. Group sessions feature electric, acoustic, rhythm, bass, and lead guitar with classes for all skill levels, from beginner to advanced students. Other group classes cover vocals, ukulele, mandolin, fiddle, banjo, DJing, songwriting, and more. Tuition ranges from $330 to $470.

The 10-week Adult Band Workshops are available in basic and intermediate levels for rock and blues, acoustic rock, funk, jazz, modern rock, and more from July 1, 2019 through September 12, 2019. Band workshops cost $470 and culminate with a live performance by band members at a local club.

Young folks in grades two through 12 can participate in summer camps from June 10, 2019 through August 9, 2019. Camps offer practice in guitar, rock, recording, DJing, and more with tuition costing $495 to $550 per week-long camp.

Little Bears classes for ages four months to five years old begin July 15, 2019 and run through August 29, 2019. The 45-minute classes take place in the mornings or afternoons, Monday through Saturday, and cost $275 for 12 weeks and $300 for 13 weeks.
