Rock out at home or in person with Blue Bear School Of Music’s Summer 2020 virtual and in-person classes, private lessons, and summer camps at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. Learn how to play a new instrument or improve existing musical skills with Blue Bear’s diverse program of virtual classes, virtual and in-person summer camps, private lessons, and Little Bears toddler music classes.

The six-week and 11-week virtual classes begin the week of July 6, 2020 and run through September 24, 2020. Virtual sessions feature electric, acoustic, rhythm, bass, lead, jazz, and heavy metal guitar with classes for all skill levels, from beginner to advanced students. New for 2020 are “Shorties For Guitar,” four-week classes focusing on fingerstyle, flapticking, world beats, country, and blues. Other virtual classes cover vocals, ukulele, mandolin and banjo, DJing and electronic music, songwriting, piano and keyboards, and more. Tuition costs $95 to $200 for four-week classes, $200 for six weeks, and $330 to $470 for 11 weeks.

Children and teens in grades two through 12 can participate in virtual summer camps from June 15, 2020 through August 7, 2020. Camps offer practice in guitar, rock, recording, DJing, and more with tuition costing $95 to $295 per week-long camp. A special, three-week, in-person summer camp, “Girls Rock July,” is available July 6 through July 24, 2020, Monday through Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. ($1,100).

Little Bears online classes for ages four months to five years old are available on an ongoing basis. The 45-minute classes take place in the mornings or afternoons, Monday through Saturday, and cost $300 for 12 weeks and $25 for one session.
