Everyone needs to create solutions for a livable climate, resilient communities, sustainable economies and a thriving planet. Indigenous People know many of these solutions and can be partners in innovating many more.
But as conservation and climate finance options rapidly evolve and billions of dollars are invested in seeking solutions, Indigenous People are seldom engaged. Why?
Many Indigenous communities are not aware of the full range of finance opportunities that exist and how to access them. Many investors are not connected to Indigenous communities’ ideas and solutions. This means that Indigenous economic and finance ideas and leadership are not engaged in today’s solutions and are not systematically informing the next generation of new investment models. How can everyone change that, so that together, all can co-create the solutions that Earth critically requires?
The Economic Futures Summit’s agenda follows three tracks that take attendees from where everyone is today (the Roots, Leveraging Current Finance), through what’s emerging (the Branches, Elevating Current Solutions), to the future all can create (the Stars, Evolving Economic Futures), interwoven with pathways for actionable change. Visit the Economic Futures Agenda for more information and a detailed schedule of events.
