25th Anniversary Berlin & Beyond Film Festival (2021)

San Francisco’s 25th Anniversary Berlin & Beyond Film Festival of contemporary German cinema takes place Tuesday through Sunday, May 25-30, 2021. The hybrid festival’s main slate of programming is on the virtual cinema platform; along with two evenings on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 25 & 26, under the stars and a full moon, at the FORT MASON FLIX drive-in; and a very special return to the cinema on Saturday, May 29 at San Francisco’s 109-year-old Vogue Theatre. Virtual festival experiences feature live broadcast screenings, interactive Q&As, and on-demand streaming movies.

Different sections of the film festival include Cinema Panorama, Goethe Forum, Documentaries, Swiss Window, and Short Stories.

The Goethe-Institut San Francisco is a major force in presenting the Berlin & Beyond Film Festival every year for the past 25 years.

Ticket prices range from $11 to $14 for virtual screenings, on-demand films, and the in-person Vogue Theatre screenings; $50 per vehicle for the drive-in events; and $125 for an On-Demand All-Access Pass.
