About: Jennifer Lopez, in her breakout role, lights up the screen in this biographical film about Texas-born, Tejano singer Selena Quintanilla. Born to a musical family, the story follows Selena as she transforms from a shy young girl to superstar – reaching an unimaginable crossover success in both Latin and American pop. Though it moves to Selena’s betrayal and murder by a close friend, the film stands as a lasting tribute to an artist (now icon) lost too young.
