Frameline45, The San Francisco International LGBTQ+ Film Festival

The Frameline45 Film festival takes place in multiple formats from Thursday, June 10, 2021 through Sunday, June 27, 2021, paralleling San Francisco Pride month. In-person events happen throughout the entire festival period, while nationally streaming events occur from June 17, 2021 through June 27, 2021 (50 films and 10 digital talks).

Live events are scheduled for San Francisco (SF)’s Oracle Ballpark, SF’s Castro and Roxie theaters, SF’s FORT MASON FLIX drive-in theater, and the West Wind Solano Drive-In.

About: A wonderful blend of camp, melodrama, and earnest coming-of-age fable, this is the charmingly wild tale of young Potato, a sensitive, closeted kid in the splintering Soviet Union whose only joy is watching pirated Hollywood movies on a black-and-white TV. Struggling to survive and fed up with her work as a prison doctor, his single mother Lena decides to become a mail-order bride.
