About: Barden University includes two Nationals-winning a cappella groups: the all-girl Barden Bellas and their all-boy rivals the Treblemakers. When the Bellas start to lose the beat with an outdated repertoire, it’s up to freshman and aspiring DJ Beca Mitchell (Kendrick) to shake them up. Directed by the Tony Award-nominated Jason Moore (for Avenue Q), this music-driven film is drawn from Mickey Rapkin’s book Pitch Perfect: The Quest for Collegiate a Cappella Glory.
