Sorry to Bother You

About: Oakland resident Cassius “Cash” Green (Stanfield) lands a telemarketing job at RegalView, where his expert “white voice” impersonations rocket his sales figures.  As he joins his coworker’s Squeeze (Yeun), Sal (Fowler), and girlfriend Detroit (Thompson) in union organizing, Cash gets promoted and dives more deeply into the company’s less ethical sales.  He soon finds himself in the orbit of Silicon Valley overlord Steve Lift (Hammer), whose Worryfree product offers material security for unpaid labor.  Lift’s ambitions have world-changing goals, and Cash finds himself with a means to stop him – with help from his organizing friends.  The union steps up as the rules of reality bend.
