Fort Mason Center For Arts & Culture resident organization the Good Food Foundation is going virtual for Good Food Awards 2021 with an online ceremony, tasting celebration, and Good Food Awards Pop-Up Shop.

The Good Food Awards recognize top U.S. food and drink artisans in 17 culinary categories. Good Food Awards judges have narrowed down 1,928 entries from all 50 states to 475 products from 45 states (plus D.C. and Guam). The categories recognize food purveyors creating award-winning products such as beer, cider, charcuterie, cheese, chocolate, coffee, confections, elixirs, fish, honey, oils, pantry, pickles, preserves, snacks, and spirits.

The virtual Good Food Awards Ceremony takes place on Friday, January 22, 2021, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Viewing tickets are $25 and include a digital cookbook with favorite recipes from award winners, as well as access to the ceremony. Act fast to obtain a limited number of $80 tickets that include a Celebration Box featuring sweet and savory treats and sips for two from the award winners and a printed cookbook with the award winners’ preferred preparations. Order the celebration box tickets by Monday, January 11, 2021, although they may sell out prior to that date. Both types of tickets include a $5 off coupon for the Good Food Awards Pop-Up Shop launching on Monday, January 25, 2021.

Next on the virtual agenda is the Virtual Mercantile: Winner’s Edition tasting event for retailers, distributors, and media. Each day from Monday, January 25, 2021 through Friday, February 5, 2021 (12 days with specific award categories scheduled for each day), two sessions offer five-minute presentations by between five and 12 award winners. The sessions take place from 1:00 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. and include question-and-answer periods. Participants receive samples shipped in advance and are also given a recorded version of the tasting session. The $45 tickets should be ordered by Monday, January 11, 2021.
