Young Performers Theatre brings the ancient German fairy tale “Hansel & Gretel” to the stage at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. The brother and sister set off on an adventure in the forest after their stepmother abandons them because their family does not have enough food for everyone. The playmates of Hansel and Gretel search for them, but a witch who lives in the woods turns them into a gingerbread fence. She also captures the two siblings, who manage to outwit her and break her spell, and everyone returns home safely.
