Visit the Bayfront Theatre in Building B, Third Floor, at Fort Mason Center For Arts & Culture for a holiday a cappella concert with five acclaimed a cappella groups. Holiday Harmonies takes place on Sunday, December 4, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The holiday season is about good friends, cozy feelings, and … vocal harmony! That’s why five of the Bay Area’s best a cappella groups are returning to put on the third annual (minus pandemic years) Holiday Harmonies concert. Featuring pop and holiday tunes, this show is guaranteed to be fun for the whole family. All proceeds go to Care for Children, a service project of The Art of Living Foundation. Holiday Harmonies features performances by Business Casual Vocals; Googapella; Pitch, Please San Francisco; Ro Sham Bo; and Side Note San Francisco.

ABOUT CARE FOR CHILDREN: Care for Children‘s mission is to provide holistic education with an emphasis on social responsibility and human values to children in under-served communities. Care for Children is a program of the Art of Living Foundation.

ABOUT BUSINESS CASUAL:
Business Casual is a five-member a cappella vocal band celebrated for their smart and surprising covers of popular songs. What would Mozart sound like as performed by a salsa band? What if Justin Timberlake was a jazz quartet? Taking inspiration from artists like Postmodern Jukebox and Scary Pockets, Business Casual delights audiences with genre-swapped arrangements of crowd-pleasing tunes. As recent national champions of the Harmony Sweepstakes (2018) and VoiceJam (2019) competitions, the group performs at venues big and small across the U.S. and overseas.

ABOUT RO SHAM BO:
Ro Sham Bo is a dynamic sextet singing original arrangements of jazz, latin, and funk tunes, all a cappella. This award-winning group has been entertaining the San Francisco Bay Area for two decades. In 2013 and 2018, Ro Sham Bo took home the first place championship at the SF Bay Area Regional Harmony Sweepstakes and was awarded audience favorite at the National Harmony Sweepstakes in 2018.
Ro Sham Bo has performed to sold-out audiences at Anna’s Jazz Island and the historic La Pena Cultural Center. You can also find them serenading listeners at the eclectic and personality filled Omega Salvage, the quirky Van Kleef bar in Uptown Oakland, and at the family-friendly Montclair Farmers Market.

ABOUT GOOGAPELLA:
Originally started in 2007, Googapella was re-formed in 2012 with a simple goal of building connections through singing … and having a positive work-life balance. Today they specialize in moonshot musical arrangements, self-harmonizing vehicles (those are cars that automatically adjust the track when you sing loudly off-key while driving), and are in talks to launch Googapella ringtones for your Android phone. As a co-founding group of Techapella, along with friends The Vocal Network, Googapella is thrilled to continue the tradition of a cappella collaboration across the tech world.

ABOUT PITCH, PLEASE SF
Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Pitch, Please San Francisco a cappella consists of diverse individuals who love to sing. Formed in 2017, this group of singers, vocal percussionists, and arrangers believe in the power of vocal music to connect with people

ABOUT SIDE NOTE:
Hip, fun, imaginative, and funky, Side Note SF is a nationally award-winning group of 10 Bay Area singers from wildly different musical backgrounds, who draw on their diversity to create a fresh, original sound. It’s contemporary a cappella — pushed to the limits of pop, R&B, funk, rock, musical theater, and jazz. Get ready for some buzzin’ beats, rockin’ riffs, and hot harmonies as Side Note delivers a show unlike anything else in vocal music!
