A discussion about acclaimed multimedia artist Joan Jonas with artists and experts occurred at the San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI) campus in Fort Mason Center For Arts & Culture (FMCAC). The event, “Joan Jonas Is On Our Mind (REPRISE),” took place in the Scully Gray Box Gallery in the SFAI | Fort Mason campus, first floor, Pier 2.

A panel discussion included Anthony Huberman, Director and Chief Curator at the California College of Arts (CCA) Wattis Institute; Jeanne C. Finley, film, video, installation, and photography artist; Jacqueline Francis, chair of CCA’s Graduate Visual + Critical Studies Program; and poet, writer, and CCA adjunct professor Frances Richard.

“Joan Jonas Is On Our Mind” was part of SFAI’s Graduate Lecture Series, which took place in conjunction with the FMCAC Joan Jonas exhibition They Come to Us without a Word, which was on view through March 10, 2019.
