John DiPaolo: Four Decades of Painting & Jerry Carniglia: A Tribute

Presented By

Museo Italo Americano

The Museo Italo Americano presents a dual exhibit, “John DiPaolo: Four Decades of Painting” and “Jerry Carniglia: A Tribute” at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. These complementary exhibits of abstract paintings offer striking compositions of spirit and strength that explode from the canvases in riots of color and movement.

John DiPaolo‘s large brushstrokes and loose, expressive brushwork create canvases whirling with dynamic, vibrantly pigmented shapes that inspire individual interpretations from viewers. The late Jerry Carniglia was a  San Francisco native whose bold paintings explore themes such as entropy and chaos using wave-like forms intermingling in fluid, exuberant scenarios.

The opening reception is Thursday, May 11, 2017, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Please RSVP at (415) 673-2200 or info@SFMuseo.org.
