No End In Sight Exhibit

Presented By

Embark Gallery & Headlands Center For the Arts

Through Jun 4th

Embark Gallery and the Headlands Center for the Arts partner to deliver a scintillating exhibit of work from seven 2016-2017 Headlands’ Graduate Fellows at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. “No End In Sight” exemplifies the Headlands Center’s history of encouraging artistic exploration and innovation. The seven artists present the journey of an artistic idea from concept to completion, using diverse perspectives, and following various routes to the grand execution.

The artists take different approaches to creation; such as collecting and presenting scientific data, pursuing meticulous research, sketching to prepare for acts of chance, tracing the organic development of handmade objects, autobiographical documentation, and the process of thinking about digital culture via analog devices.

The participating artists are: Shannon Abac (San Francisco State University), Jose Figueroa (University of California — Berkeley), Kunlin He (San Francisco Art Institute), Cy Keener (Stanford University), Nicole Lavelle (California College of the Arts), Holden Schultz (Mills College), and Angela Willetts (University of California — Davis).

The opening reception takes place on Sunday, May 21, 2017, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
