The San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI) | Fort Mason Campus presents “Red Culebra: 4 Cycles + 1,” sound performance in conjunction with U.S. composer and media artist  Bill Fontana‘s soundscape installation, “Landscape Sculpture With Foghorns,” at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. “Red Culebra is a collaboration between San Francisco Bay Area performance and sound artists Guillermo Galindo (AKA gal*in_dog) and Cristóbal Martínez.

Galindo and Martínez create and perform rituals invoking cycles of repetition and uniformity. Red Culebra’s performance art features ritual sound invocations, moving images, and nude performance artists’ movements.

Galindo is an experimental composer, Jungian tarot scholar, performance artist, sonic architect, and visual media artist. He recently collaborated with photographer Richard Misrach on the critically acclaimed “Border Cantos” traveling exhibition. Martínez is a Distinguished Visiting Faculty at SFAI, belongs to the multidisciplinary artist collective Postcommodity, and founded artist-hacker performance collective Radio Healer.
