Join FOR-SITE Foundation and Art Practical online magazine at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture in a fun brainstorming session on how to update Wikipedia’a gender, art, and feminism subjects. The workshop takes place in The Chapel at Upper Fort Mason, scene of FOR-SITE’s provocative “Sanctuary” exhibit.

The event includes beginner Wikipedian tutorials, access to reference materials, and refreshments. Be part of the effort to increase women’s contributions to Wikipedia (current estimates suggest that less than 10 percent of Wikipedia contributors are women).

If possible bring a mobile computer, power cord, and ideas! Creating a Wikipedia account before the event is highly recommended.

This event is open to all members of the public and welcomes people of all gender identities, LGBT, and gender-non-conforming individuals. RSVP in advance to ensure there is a space for you!
