FLAX Art + Design Store & Scroungers Center For Reusable Art Parts (SCRAP)Sep 22nd @ 10:00 a.m. to 2;00 p.m.
Join FLAX Art + Design Store and San Francisco’s Scroungers Center For Reusable Art Parts (SCRAP) for a fun, free pop-up shop at Fort Mason Center For Arts & Culture. SCAP is a creative re-use center, materials depot, and workshop space that has been operating near San Francisco’s various waste management facilities since 1976.
SCRAP works with San Francisco schools, arts organizations, and donors to re-purpose more than 200 tons of re-usable art materials from landfills each year. SCRAP has multitudes of buttons, toys, paper, textiles, craft and office supplies, wood, plastics, and more available to artists and groups for free or very reasonable prices. FLAX is donating 10 percent of its revenues for the day to SCRAP.
