The San Francisco Children’s Art Center (SFCAC) at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture offers great Spring 2019 classes. SFCAC has three Afternoon Weekly Workshops (grades kindergarten through fifth grade) inspire creating, collaborating, and sharing through visual arts. For younger children (ages 3.5 to five years), SFCAC offers two “Morning Art Studios II.” For children ages 22 to 36 months, SFCAC hosts “Side By Side” sessions (with adult caregivers) and “Little Art Makers” classes, both taking place in the morning.

Each week (Tuesday-Thursday) offers wide-ranging explorations of different ideas and materials to inspire art-making. “Book & Box Making,” “Printmaking, Stamps & Stencils,” and “Painting & Drawing,” workshops (1.5-hour classes, $216; $35/drop-in session) offer deep investigations into the challenges and choices found in two- and three-dimensional forms. “Homeschool Art Studio” for ages six to 10 years old (two-hour classes, $256; $45/drop-in session) takes place on Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Noon).

The weekly classes for younger kids (22 months to 5 years) meet on weekday and Saturday mornings and provide age-appropriate art instruction and activities through “Art Studio II” (1.5-hour classes, $256; $35/drop-in session), “Little Art Makers” (one-hour classes, $168; $30/drop-in session), and “Side By Side” (one-hour classes, $168; $30/drop-in session, for children and adult caregivers).

Prices vary per class and drop-ins for individual class sessions are welcome (one-hour classes $30, 1.5-hour classes $35, and two-hour classes $45).
