The San Francisco Dance Film Festival presents a family-friendly, in-person, premiere screening of Coppelia in the Cowell Theater at Fort Mason Center For Arts & Culture. Internationally acclaimed ballet dancers make up much of the cast, including SFB dancer Sasha Mukhamedov and former SFB principal Vito Mazzeo. Michaela DePrince appears in person at the SF Dance Film Fest premiere of Coppelia for questions and answers after the screening.
Also included with the program is the featured short, Fly Me To The Moon, starring LINES Ballet and SF Ballet dancers performing to Ledisi’s version of the classic Fly Me To The Moon song. Doors for the program open at 4:30 p.m.; the screenings take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and are followed by a meet-and-greet event in the Cowell Theater lobby from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The $75 VIP ticket holders are also invited to a reception from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
