The Interrogation Room

San Francisco International Arts Festival 2018

Presented By

Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture & SFIAF

Through May 27th

The immersive performance piece The Interrogation Room invites audiences to choose a role either as a participant or spectator as a group seeks to gain citizenship in an absurdist parody presented at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. The action takes place in the citizenship processing center for the mythical kingdom of Samchriavad. The Interrogation Room parodies power dynamics involved with gaining citizenship, entry, or membership in a new space and asks the questions: how far would prospective citizens go to gain entry and how much would those in power expect them to do to become citizens?

Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture (FMCAC) hosts The Interrogation Room performances as part of the San Francisco International Arts Festival, which runs from May 24, 2018 to June 3, 2018 exclusively at FMCAC. The Festival features more than 60 performances by close to 40 different artists, ensembles, and companies. Get discounts on tickets to see multiple shows at the Festival by buying a Festival pass. More details HERE.
