We Players

Presented By

Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture & SFIAF

Through May 26th

We Players presents Mother Lear, a performance about Shakespeare, caregivers, aging, love, power struggles, and dementia in the Chapel, Upper Fort Mason at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. Mother Lear depicts an aging scholar whose dementia causes her to communicate with her caregiving daughter solely through the dialogue of Shakespeare’s play King Lear.

Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture (FMCAC) hosts these performances by We Players as part of the San Francisco International Arts Festival, which runs from May 23, 2019 to June 2, 2019 exclusively at FMCAC. The Festival features more than 40 performances by nearly 50 artists, ensembles, and companies. Get discounts on tickets to see multiple shows at the Festival by buying a Festival pass.
