Siamese Dream

San Francisco International Arts Festival

Through May 28th

SteamRoller Dance Company presents Siamese Dream, a fantasia of Asian Americana based on the classic Hollywood musical The King and I and the physicality of Hong Kong cinema’s martial arts movies. The production is awash in dynamic movements inspired by the music of Riyuchi Sakamoto and fun soundtracks from Hong Kong action flicks. Siamese Dream investigates popular notions and media depictions of Asian American identities.

These performances by SteamRoller Dance Company are hosted by Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture (FMCAC) as part of the San Francisco International Arts Festival, which runs from May 25 – June 4 exclusively at FMCAC. The Festival features more than 100 performances by over 60 different artists, ensembles and companies. Get discounts on tickets to see multiple shows at the Festival by buying a Festival pass.
