Traveling Cartoonist-In-Residence Ajuan Mance

FLAX art & design partners with the Cartoon Art Museum on an inspiring Traveling Cartoonist-in-Residence event, featuring the creative perspective of Ajuan Mance: Mills College professor, author, and illustrator of the acclaimed 1001 Black Men: An Online Sketchbook portrait series of African American men from the San Francisco Bay Area. Mance has also created the online zines, Gender Studies and The Little Book of Big, Black Bears and the print and online graphic novel,  A Blues For Black Santa.

This event offers the opportunity to meet Ajuan Mance, view her work, and discuss the characters and issues she includes in her creative expression.
