Young Performers Theatre (YPT) offers Fall academy classes for children and teens who love the stage at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture! YPT offers performance classes for students three to 18 years old. The classes start Tuesday, September 18, 2018 and continue through Saturday, December 15, 2018. There are no classes during Thanksgiving week (November 20-24, 2018).

“Let’s Pretend,” for ages three-and-a-half to five years old (grades pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten), takes place on Saturdays, September 22, 2018 through December 15, 2018, 10:00 p.m. to 10:45 a.m. (no class November 24, 2018). Tuition is $335.

“Creative Drama,” (ages five to seven years old, grades one and two), is held Tuesdays, September 18, 2018 through December 11, 2018, 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (no class November 20, 2018). Tuition is $360.

The “Musical Theatre” (ages seven to nine years old, grades two through four) and “Presenting … the Show” (ages nine to 12 years old, grades three through six) classes allow participants to present a play they’ve developed during the class  to family and friends on the final day of their session.

“Musical Theatre” takes place on Wednesdays, September 19, 2018 through December 12, 2018, 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (no class November 21, 2018) Tuition is $390. “Presenting … the Show” is held on Tuesdays,  September 18, 2018 through December 11, 2018, 4:15-5:45 p.m. (no class November 20, 2018) and costs $385 to attend.

“Presenting … the Show Act II” (ages 12 to 14 years old, grades six through eight) is held on Thursdays, September 20, 2018 through December 13, 2018, 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (no class November 22, 2018) and costs $385 to attend.

“Audition Techniques” (ages 12 to 14 years old, grades six through eight) takes the stage on Mondays, September 17, 2018 through October 22, 2018, 4:00 p.m. to 5:300 p.m. Tuition is $385.

Six-week sessions include “Public Speaking” (ages 14 to 18 years old, grades nine through 12) on Saturdays, 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., September 22, 2018 through  October 27, 2018 for $300. “Shakespeare,” (ages 15 to 18 years old, grades nine through 12), presents the Bard on Fridays, September 21, 2018 through November 9, 2018, 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuition is $300.
