Young Performers Theatre (YPT) offers Fall 2019 academy classes for children and teens who love the stage at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture! YPT offers performance classes for students three to 14 years old. The classes start Friday, August 23, 2019 and continue through Saturday, December 14, 2019. (There are no classes during the week of November 25-30, 2019.)

The “Musical Theatre” (ages seven to 10 years old, grades two through five), “Presenting … the Show” (ages eight to 12 years old, grades three through six), and “Presenting … The Show, Act Two” (ages nine to 13 years old, grades four through seven) classes allow participants to present a play they’ve developed during the class to family and friends on the final day of their session.

“Creative Drama Monday,” (ages five to seven years old, grades one and two), takes place on Mondays, September 23, 2019 to December 9, 2019, 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuition is $370. (No classes on Monday, October 14, 2019 or November 25, 2019).

“Presenting … The Show,” (ages eight to 12 years old, grades three through six), happens on Tuesdays, September 24, 2019 to December 10, 2019, 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuition is $390. (No class on Tuesday, November 26, 2019).

“Musical Theatre” (ages seven to 10 years old, grades two through five) occurs on Wednesdays, September 25, 2019 through December 11, 2019, 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuition is $400. (No class on Wednesday, November 27, 2019).

“Presenting … the Show Act Two” (ages nine to 13 years old, grades four through seven) is held on Thursdays, September 26, 2019 through December 12, 2019, 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuition is $390. (No class on Thursday, November 28, 2019).

“Let’s Pretend,” (ages three-and-a-half to five years old, grades pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten) takes place on Saturdays, September 28, 2019 through December 14, 2019, 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Tuition is $340. (No class on Saturday, November 30, 2019).

“Ready, Set, Tech,” (ages 10 to 14 years old, grades five through eight) happens on Fridays, August 23, 2019 through October 6, 2019; Fridays, 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Performances takes place September 28 to October 6, 2019; Saturdays 11:00 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. and Sundays, 10:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. A second “Ready, Set, Tech” class occurs Friday, September 27, 2019 through Sunday, November 10, 2019. Tuition is $650.
