Young Performers Theatre (YPT) has added late Spring academy weekend class sessions for teens who love the stage at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture! These weekend classes are for students in grades nine through 12. Both classes are taught by Steve Bologna, veteran San Francisco Bay Area performer and Artistic Director of the Breach Once More theater company.

The six-week “Auditions” class on Fridays, April 6, 2018 through May 11, 2018, 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. helps students assess scene study basics and audition techniques. Attendees also work on monologues and scenes to build confidence and an understanding of stage performance tactics.

The “Public Speaking” session takes place on Saturdays, 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., April 7, 2018 through May 12, 2018. Students learn tools for speaking clearly, articulately, and concisely. Participants also practice microphone techniques and how to address large and small audiences.
