The Long Now Foundation was established in 01996 to foster long-term thinking and responsibility to preserve humanity for the next 10,000 years. The Long Now Foundation hopes to provide a counterpoint to today’s “faster/cheaper” mindset and promote “slower/better” thinking. The Long Now Foundation presents seminars, lectures and science and art-based projects to encourage people to think beyond their lifetimes.
