Free-style rappers and rap poets join BATS Improv onstage for improvised rhymes, scenes, settings, and themes during The Cypher Scenes at Fort Mason Center For Arts & Culture. This lively show is co-created and co-directed by BATS Improv’s guest coach, comedian, and writer Larry Dorsey, Jr.

Local rappers and and freestylers trade rhymes back and forth with BATS improvisers creating scenes at lightning speed to reflect the spoken-word themes and images. The poets respond with more spontaneous words to blast the ball back onto the BATS stage, where wild improv takes over again.
