More Than 700 Years: Faculty Exhibit

The San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI) | Fort Mason Campus revives a worthy tradition with at the “More Than 700 Years: SFAI Faculty Exhibition” at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture (FMCAC). Curated by Ángel Rafael Vázquez-Concepción, “More Than 700 Years” offers two exhibitions featuring the work of 28 SFAI faculty artists at both SFAI campuses. The FMCAC campus exhibit features art by 13 faculty members working in installation, mixed media, painting, photography, performance, printmaking, video, and more.
SFAI faculty exhibiting at FMCAC include: Johnna Arnold (photography), Elizabeth Bernstein (photography), Timothy Berry (painting), Brad Brown (drawing), Luke Butler (painting), James Claussen (painting and printmaking), DeShawn Dumas (mixed media, painting, printmaking, and video), Kerry Laitala (film, installation, and photography), Mads Lynnerup (installation, performance, printmaking, sculpture, and video), Felicita Norris (painting), Jordan Reznick (installation, mixed media, and photography), Kate Rhoades (graphic arts, installation, mixed media, photography, sculpture, and video), and Meredith Tromble (installation, painting, photography, and video).
Works are on view from Friday, June 7, 2019 through Sunday, September 1, 2019 (Wednesdays through Sundays, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.) in the Main Gallery at SFAI’s Fort Mason campus on Pier 2. The opening reception takes place on Friday, June 7, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Please RSVP.)
