Wonder Woman
About: The long-awaited big-screen debut of Wonder Woman unfolds as a DC Comics Universe flashback, with a present-day Diana Prince (Gadot) receiving a photograph that captures her first foray into human affairs. Cut to 1918 and US pilot Steve Trevor (Pine) crashing off the coast of Themyscira island, the protected home of Amazon warriors, pursued by Germans. Torn between her mother’s stewardship as Queen (Nielsen) and her aunt’s combat-readiness as General (Wright), Diana leaves her homeland and joins the rescued American on his mission to thwart an advanced German chemical weapon. Diana’s unique upbringing and lineage pose her sincerity, truthfulness, and warrior ethos against a corrupt and fallen human world.
