About: Before reimagining the Wakandan king and hero Black Panther for the screen, director Ryan Coogler expanded the Rocky Balboa saga through Adonis Johnson (Michael B. Jordan): Apollo Creed ’s son, born after the legendary boxer’s death and raised by Creed’s widow, Mary Anne (Phylicia Rashad). Over his step-mom’s objections, Adonis determines to become a professional boxer, and he travels to Philadelphia to train with his father’s great rival and friend. While the aging Rocky has left the fight world for good, Adonis’ drive lures him back. A new generation seems poised for its new legend.
