Desperately Seeking Susan
About: Bored New Jersey housewife Roberta Glass (Rosanna Arquette) gets more than she expected when she tracks down the writers exchanging messages in the personal ads of a New York City tabloid paper. Showing up as a voyeur to their Battery Park tryst, Roberta finally catches a glimpse of boho vagabond Susan (Madonna) with one of her boyfriends, rock ‘n’ roller Jim (Robert Joy). Roberta follows Susan around and snags her jacket when she tradess it at a vintage shop.
Wearing the jacket, Roberta is mistaken for Susan, who is being stalked by the Mob. Roberta is attacked and develops amnesia, which is the perfect way to meet dreamy Dez (Aidan Quinn), a friend who Jim asked to look out for Susan. After many entanglements, mistaken identities, and mob hitman encounters, Roberta regains her memory and changes her life with her new friends.
