Ruth Asawa San Francisco School of the Arts (SFSOTA)’s Conservatory Dance Department celebrates its 40th anniversary with the 2023 Annual Dance Concert: Eclipsed in the Cowell Theater at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. The concert features performances and compositions by SFSOTA Dance Department students and artists-in-residence.

SFSOTA Dance Director Andrea Hinman Scheumann has planned an eclectic and inspiring program of dance excellence. Conservatory Dance is proud to showcase all original choreography, with nine pieces choreographed by students, and featuring choreography by 2017 SFSOTA alumna, Audrey Thao Berger. Additional choreographers contributing to the program are: Graciela Acedo, Vincent Chavez, Amy Foley, Norma Fong, and Calvin L. Thomas Jr.

Eclipsed performances happen on May 19, 20, and 21, 2023, Friday and Saturday at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
