Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture resident group Young Performers Theatre (YPT) offers in-person Winter/Spring 2025 classes for vaccinated children who love the stage. The nine- to 10-week classes start Monday, February 3, 2025 and continue through Friday, May 16, 2025. (No classes on Monday through Friday, February 17 through 21, 2025; March 3 through 9, 2025; or April 14 through 25, 2025.) YPT’s classes are held in the Southside Theater, Building D, third floor.

The season includes “Let’s Pretend” for ages three to five years old, meeting on Monday, February 3, 2025 through May 12, 2025, 3:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. or 4:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. (No classes on Monday, February 17, 2025; March 3, 2025; April 14, 2025; or April 21, 2025.) $345 ($359.56 with fees)

Creative Drama” for ages five to eight years (grades one through three) meets on Tuesday, 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., February 4, 2025 through May 13, 2025; or Thursday, February 6, 2025 through May 15, 2025; 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (No classes on Tuesday, February 18, 2025; March 4, 2025; April 15, 2025; or April 22, 2025; or on Thursday; February 20, 2025; March 6, 2025; April 17, 2025; or April 24, 2025.) The final class features a performance for family and friends. Tuition is $395 ($411.41 with fees).

Presenting … The Show!” for students in grades three through six (ages eight to 11 years old) meets on Wednesday, 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., from February 5, 2025 through May 14, 2025. (No classes on February 19, 2025; March 5, 2025; April 16, 2025; or April 23, 2025.) Students present a show on the final day of class. Tuition is $405 ($421.78 with fees).

Presenting … The Show, Act II!” offers students in grades four through seven (ages 10 through 14 years old) a workshop to create characters and narratives on Friday, February 7, 2025 through May 16, 2025, 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (No classes on Friday, February 21, 2025; March 7, 2025; April 18, 2025; or April 25, 2025.) The final class date results in a play staged for a live audience. Tuition is $405 ($421.78 with fees).
