Arrangiarsi Film Screening

Presented By

Museo Italo Americano, Istituto Italiano di Cultura SF & Leonardo da Vinci Society

Jan 14th @ 2:30 p.m.

Enjoy a special, premiere screening of Matteo Troncone’s charming Arrangiarsi (Pizza … And The Art Of Living) with Museo Italo Americano, Istituto Italiano di Cultura SF, and the Leonardo da Vinci Society at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. Arrangiarsi was a sold-out fan favorite at the 2017 Mill Valley Film Festival. Writer, director, cinematographer, editor, and star Troncone answers questions after the screening.

Arrangiarsi chronicles Troncone’s super low-budget time in Italy when a friend offers him a free ticket to Naples. Jumping at the chance to travel, he decides to document the art of making pizza, despite not having made a film before and possessing only basic Italian language skills. To save money for his project, Troncone lives in his van in Mill Valley, CA and camps in Italy.

Troncone’s filming expands to include whimsical Neopolitan street artists, intense Italian history, and the passion of good food and great friends. As he continues his project and gets early feedback, Troncone realizes he is not only documenting the grand art of arrangiarsi (making the best of situations); but he is also experiencing arrangiarsi firsthand.
