Artist Talk: Fernando Reyes

Presented By

The Mexican Museum

Feb 10th @ 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The Mexican Museum hosts an illuminating artist’s talk with the creator of its current exhibit, “Fernando Reyes: An Artist’s Evolution 1991-2017″ at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. Reyes plans to discuss his development as a self-taught artist, his pursuit of an arts education, and how his art has changed over time, starting with figurative work and exploring abstraction later on.

Reyes’s exhibit includes more than 60 pieces, including paintings, prints, and drawings. He has painted with oils, hand-printed work, produced intaglio and woodblock prints, and created cut-outs from his hand-printed paper. The diverse array of objects in the exhibit allow viewers to trace Reyes progression through different subjects, techniques, styles, and ideas.
