Baccari: Padre & Figlio (Father & Son)

Presented By

Museo Italo Americano

Museo Italo Americano presents a photographic exhibit of work by two icons of San Francisco’s Italian American community at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. The exhibit, “Baccari: Tale Padre Tale Figlio: The Photographic Artistry of Allessandro Baccari Sr. and His Son,” features work by Alessandro Baccari Sr. (1888-1966) and his son, Alessandro Baccari, Jr. (born 1928).

Baccari, Jr. is an author and historian who wrote San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf, a title in Arcadia Publishing’s historic images series. Many illustrations in the book came from the Baccari collection of historical San Francisco photographs.
