BATS Improv finishes the Summer 2018 improv season with a spirited, high-stakes tournament, a smashing final showdown, plenty of audience interaction, and lively competition at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. Since the start of summer, teams of improvisers from BATS Improv’s main stage company have been facing off in fast-paced segments featuring games, scenes, and songs based on audience suggestions.

Olympic-style judges award points to each team. At the end of the evening, the high-scoring team advances on to the following week’s contest.

The grand finale to The Summer Theatresports 2018 games is the no-holds-barred annual grudge match against Los Angeles Impro Theatre on Friday, August 3, 2018, at 8:00 p.m. As the California Showdown SF vs LA match draws closer, frenzied improvisers accelerate the action to win the right to challenge (and hopefully dominate) LA for improv supremacy.
