BATS Improv Online

Explore the world of virtual improv with Fort Mason Center For Arts & Culture resident organization BATS Improv as the group offers online shows and classes during the COVID-19 public health lockdown. Using Zoom video-conferencing tools, BATS has joined the virtual improv world in brave, new, and unexpected ways.

BATS Improv students perform in showcases, Ripped Tides: An Improvised Soap Opera, on Friday, December 11, 2020 and December 18, 2020, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.

VIRTUAL IMPROV CLASSES

BATS also offers improv classes online for children and adults. The Specialty sessions are open to all with no improv experience required. The Foundation courses may have some prerequisites as noted. All meeting times are in Pacific Standard Time (PST).

“Virtual Fun & Games With Rebecca Stockley” provides interactive, online games for everyone to enjoy on Thursday, December 10, 2020, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. ($35)

“The Grateful Improviser With Lisa Rowland” explores acceptance and appreciation on Saturday, December 12, 2020, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. ($35)

“Storytelling Improv For Kids With Jenny Meyer Rosen” is drop-in story time fun for ages five to eight years old on Tuesday, December 15 and 22, 2020 and Thursday, December 17, 2020, 4:15 to 4:45 p.m. ($26, or $10 per session)

“Family Game Night With Jenny Meyer Rosen” is for the whole family, including children who are at least five years old on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. ($10 per family)

“Advanced Yessing with Tim Orr” is for experienced improvisers on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. ($45, Pre-Requisite: Foundation 3 or higher)

“Improvised Holiday Songs & Musicals With Mark Duncanson” is a great way to express holiday cheer on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. ($35, Pre-Requisite: Foundation 1 or higher)
